Whispering Twilight
This one was really fun to dream up and create. The actual size is 10.75″ x 24″ – it is cut paper, foam core, and acrylics on particle board. When I made this piece, I was thinking of it as a children’s book illustration… I just need the story to go along with it.
I enjoy using rich and vibrant colors and was happy with the way this one turned out. It has a bit of a dreamy feel like the sandman spreading sleep, only this night woman is blowing the stars into the sky. She is actually mounted about an inch away from the main board with her hair about a quarter of an inch further out than her face. The green bar at the bottom is textured with paper and foam core mounted on a curved piece that stands away from the main board, giving it more dimension.
